Following the launch of the SKM15 series and the growing demands for miniaturization applications, MEAN WELL introduced the SKA20 Series, a 20W module, single output regulated DC/DC converter. At a size of 2”x1” it is designed to suit miniature applications and also helps system designers solve the issue of PCB space limitation.

With up-to-date high efficiency circuit design the SKA20 series has up to 89.5% efficiency, free air convection cooling; allowing full load operation from -40°C to +75°C ambient temperature and up to +85°C by derating the output load. They have standard pin assignment for Dual Inline packaging and feature a 2:1 wide input range and 1500VDC input/output isolation.

The series includes short circuit, overload, input and output over voltage protections, low ripple noise, remote ON/OFF control, remote sense, external trimming output and CE/FCC compliance. In addition, it features fully encapsulated packaging which can help them withstand the influence of dust and moisture from various environments. Suitable applications include industrial control, telecoms and distributed power architecture related applications.
