MEAN WELL have released a new intelligent AC/DC battery charger PB-1000 Series, a 1000W charger for sealed and open lead acid batteries, that increases the charger product line up to 1000W. Featuring user selectable 2 stage / 8 stage charging characteristics this intelligent charger is controlled by microporcessor and can quickly and efficiently feed your hungry batteries or, using a more complete charging curve, store more energy into the battery banks.

Two battery banks can be connected to PB-1000 at the same time, the designed charging serial will switch the charging current between the two battery banks automatically ro ensure both banks are fully charged and maintain them at a suitable energy level at all times. To effectively extend the lifetime of batteries and reduce the maintenance, PB-1000 also has a built in temperature compensation circuit.

Other standard features of PB-1000 include built-in active PFC function, IEC320-C14 ~ 3 pole AC inlet, power ON/OFF switch with light indicator, remote ON/OFF control, fan ON/OFF control, reverse polarity, short circuit, over voltage, and over temperature protections.

Typical application includes home appliance, solar power system, security system, UPS system, electrical wheelchair, leisure vehicle and vessel applications that may use lead-acid batteries as the power source or back-up system.
