SE-450 Series Enclosed Power Supply
MEAN WELL has introduced the new SE-450 Series, a 450W general purpose single output AC/DC enclosed switching power supply. Because the design has no PFC the cost of SC-450 can be maintained at a lower level making it an economical option for areas where the PFC function is not required, such as USA, China, Taiwan and South-Eastern Asia. The AC input range is selectable between 115/230VAC via the built-in switch so that users can easily choose the correct input range based on the country their end product might be used in.
Using high frequency switching technology SE-450 possesses up to 88% high efficiency and 5.42W/in3 of high power density. At AC input side SE-450 has built in circuit for limiting inrush current whilst at the DC output side the remote sense function is also equipped to compensate for voltage drop caused by long wiring. Protection functions include short circuit, over load, over voltage and over temperature protections and the units is ready for safety approvals as per UL and UCL requirements.
Suitable applications include general electronics, factory automation and the moving sign industry.
