MEAN WELL launches the SE-1500 series – 1500W general purpose AC/DC enclosed type switching power supplies, for the growing demand of low cost high-wattage applications. Featuring 7.8W/ in3 of high power density, up to 89% of high efficiency, and the built-in long life DC ball bearing fan, SE-1500 series can provide full output wattage at up to 50°C of ambient temperature. 

Due to the non-PFC design, the cost of SE-1500 can be maintained at a lower level and hence can fulfill the economical requirements for areas that the PFC function is not required, such as USA, south America, China, Taiwan, south-eastern Asia, Korea, and Africa.

Along with the standard features of AC input active inrush current limiting, remote ON/OFF control, remote sense function, and DC OK signal output, SE-1500 tries to provide you with an economical alternative with the most application flexibility. Protection functions include short-circuit, overload, over voltage, and over temperature protections and safety approvals  per UL and CUL is also ready.
