HRP-300 & HRPG-300 Series ~ 300W Miniature High Reliability Enclosed Type Power Supplies
To meet the requirements for energy saving and demands for low energy consumption products MEAN WELL has introduced a further range of products to their miniature high performance enclosed switching power supplies series, 300W models HRP-300 and HRPG-300 Series.
Featuring high operating efficiency, 30.7% miniaturisation (compared to first generation 320W PFC Series SP-320 Series), built in active PFC function, to fulfil the requirements of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current and energy saving features the HRP(G) family is the most high end product in MEAN WELL’s enclosed switching power supplies series.
HRP-300 and HRPG-300 are designed to be fit into a 1U low profile rack chassis. Possessing up to 89% of high efficiency, built in long life dc fan for cooling and operating temperatures from -30C to +50C ambient, under full load conditions, and up to +70C with deration to the output load. In addition HRP(G)-300 Series are equipped with the function of 300VAC input surge immunity for 5 seconds, which can reduce the chances of damage caused by an unstable AC mains. To compensate for any wiring voltage drops the units have a built-in remote sense function to fix up to 0.5V of voltage drop. Protection functions include short circuit, over load (constant current mode), over voltage and over temperature.
To fulfil the increasing demand for eco-design and the requirements of Energy Star and EuP norms MEAN WELL specifically offer HRPG-300 models with additional remote ON/OFF control and 5V/0.3A standby output to achieve no load power consumption <0.5W. Using HRPH-300 for their application designers should easily achieve these energy saving requirements for their end system.
Both HRP-300 and HRPG-300 comply with global safety requirements as per UL, cUL. TUV, CB & CE. Suitable applications are general electronic applications, factory automation, LED moving sign, test and measurement equipment and many systems that require low no load power consumption.
